Sturdy and reliable

Whether for professional or private use, the RAZOR light module has been developed to ensure optimum light output even under harsh conditions.

The luminaire housing consists of a silver-anodised, one-piece aluminium profile. The entire technology, including the electronic ballast, is protected inside. The high-quality anodised surface ensures optimum light reflection and is resistant even to aggressive salt water. All sockets and sealing surfaces are also waterproof and equipped with additional neoprene seals.


All light modules are also available in a double-flame version for external dimming. The dimmable light bars are equipped with data cable (Western connection 150 cm) or, on request, with five-pole cable and 5-way plug. All luminaires have a 150 cm mains cable with safety plug - special lengths are available on request. The cable entry is always on the side of the profile to save as much space as possible during installation.

Particularly high light output

RAZOR T-5 modules are the most cost-effective way to produce a lot of light in a small space. That is why the RAZOR light module is always equipped with advanced and powerful T-5 technology. These T-5 fluorescent lamps are up to 30 % more effective than conventional 26 mm tubes.

Due to the special housing design and the exposed T-5 lamps, the optimum operating conditions with regard to durability and luminous efficacy of the T-5 lamps are achieved.

Together with the RAZOR light module, special high-gloss reflectors are supplied that almost double the luminous power of the fluorescent lamps. These reflectors can be adjusted in the beam angle as desired and thus allow individual illumination of the area.

High quality technology

Like all Giesemann products, the RAZOR T-5 module is produced exclusively in Germany and undergoes extensive quality controls and electrical tests before delivery.

We use components of the highest quality without restriction. The electronic ballast, for example, is equipped with a gentle warm start technology and has a temperature-controlled switch-off in case of overheated or defective T-5 lamps. At the same time, the built-in electronic HF ballasts ensure flicker-free operation with instant start.

Versatile mounting options, for almost any application


There are numerous mounting options for the RAZOR T5 aquarium light. In the basic version, the housing is already equipped with a mounting guide that allows nuts or screws to be inserted.

Of course, the RAZOR T-5 module is particularly suitable for use in our SPHERA aquarium covers. Here, the middle profile of your aquarium cover serves as a slide-in bar and at the same time ensures additional cooling.

For older STRATOS aquarium covers, simply screw the enclosed mounting slides onto the desired cover slat of your cover.

Lighting recommendation marine und tropic

GIESEMANN luminaires are suitable for use with T-5 fluorescent tubes. The use of LED tubes of a similar design is not recommended for technical reasons, as this will also invalidate any warranty claims.

*All light modules are also available in a dimmable version. The dimmable light bars are equipped with an additional data cable (Western connection, approx. 150 cm) or, on request, with a five-pole cable and 5-way plug.

The power is supplied via a mounted Schuko plug on the supply line.
